Dr Corinne Scholtz spent over 5 years in a local middle school researching adolescent self-esteem and conducted school-based, therapy groups for adolescent girls, informed by outsider-witness practices that generated new approaches around ‘at-risk’ behaviors and self-esteem. Based on her findings, this workshop will discuss adolescent self-esteem and sexuality, peer pressure, poor academic performance, drug and alcohol use, and body image.  Attendees will explore ways to implement adolescent outsider-witness groups within any organization, private practice and multi-cultural educational system.
