New Client Information
Emotional & Mental Preparation:
I encourage all my clients to take 10-15 minutes before the session to focus thoughts, calm the body from daily stresses, and honor our time together as an opportunity for self-care and healing.
Please note that sessions are often scheduled back to back. For this reason, please make every effort to be present at or before your appointment time. Unfortunately, if you do present late, I will be unable to extend our time.
Many clients have shared that it helps to think about their therapy during the week and in-between sessions. Reflecting on the conversation, jotting notes, and considering conversation for the next session helps you to stay in close relationship with your therapeutic experience. In fact, clients who implement their knowledge gained from therapy into their daily life and relationships tend to experience even greater and quicker change.
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
- Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

- If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
