Family therapy Ft. Lauderdale that has been proven to work
Family therapy has been around for years, but it is just an exercise in futility if it continues to not work. We do not want to be misidentified as miracle workers here at the Center Of Connected Living, but we are very committed to providing quality and professional service. We ensure this by staying up to date in all the trends that exist in family therapy. This may include couples counseling and or any combination of family therapy.
Dr. Corinne Scholtz has an extensive background in the dynamics of family therapy. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Family Therapy from
Nova Southeastern University and has co-published three articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her emphasis on family therapy in the Ft. Lauderdale area has been met with resounding high praise.
Family therapy, by definition, is s a branch of psychotherapy that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members. It emphasizes family relationships as an important factor in psychological health. Scholtz's philosophy on family therapy is not simply: “getting rid” of symptoms, “fixing you”, waging war or getting control of anything. Whether it is: about making peace by listening to and understanding your symptoms. And, curiously enough, when you listen to your symptoms, rather than fear or avoid them, your struggles become a great opportunity to empower you, while decreasing the power of the symptom.
Though its sounds relatively easy to apply to one's life, Scholtz's philosophy on family therapy is not about cutting corners. It, instead is all about hard work, dedication and commitment to the self-improvement of one's self, which, ultimately will improve the family core unit. That is not to say it is not OK to have questions regarding the therapeutic process. Schultz understands that and encourages this type of questioning and reflection. Improving one's self and family is never easy. That's why it is important to have a guide help navigate you through the process.
